Baptisms

The Sacrament of Baptism is the first of all sacraments. Through the waters of baptism our Lord washes us clean and makes us one of his beloved disciples. Moreover, the baptized are welcomed into communion with all other baptized individuals to form the Church. We receive this mission to baptize directly from Jesus who said in Matthew’s Gospel, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. (28:19-20)”

Our parish celebrates baptism each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. To further explore the sacrament, a pre-baptismal class is offered for parents on the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Francis Chapel. Please call the rectory to schedule a baptismal date or for more information.
