Sacraments

I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10

Our Lord wants to be a part of our lives. The very reason we were created is to have a relationship with our God. Before his Ascension into heaven, Jesus gave his Church seven ways through which he can be physically present to his followers. These we call sacraments – visible signs which allow us to encounter and deepen our relationship with Christ. Catholics believe that God sent his Son Jesus to save us from our sinfulness in order that we might live in union with Him on earth and in heaven. Jesus told us his purpose in the Gospel of John, “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. (10:10)”
