What Our Students Are Learning

Curriculum

The curriculum for SSPP School follows the guidelines of the Department of Education of the State of New York (New York State Common Core Curriculum/Next Generation Standards) and the Department of Catholic Education of the Diocese of Buffalo. Learning is supported with various technologies, including classroom Smartboards and standard issue Chromebooks for all students in Grades 2-8.

Students in Pre-K 4 through Grade 8 receive instruction in Religion, English Language Arts (including Phonics, Reading and Spelling for the primary grades), Mathematics, Science, Health, and Social Studies. Specials classes include Technology, Spanish, Physical Education, and Library. During normal (non-COVID) school school years, music and art classes are also taught, but have been suspended this year due to scheduling complexities. These classes will be reinstated for the 2021-2022 school year.
