The 7th and 8th Grade play is the perfect opportunity to express creative freedom. Production usually begins in November with performances in the Spring.
Altar servers help assist a member of the clergy during a Christian religious service, and this is a fantastic way for young people to participate more actively in the mass and make a meaningful contribution to both the mass and their congregation. During a 2015 address, Pope Francis urged youth to serve at the altar, saying that it allows them "to journey together, to set demanding goals and to find the strength to achieve them.” In addition, students develop greater responsibility, maturity, attention to detail, and flexibility.
Battle of the Books is a reading incetive program for students who read books and come together to demonstrate their abilities and test their knowledge on what they have read.
Chorus features students from 5th through 8th grade from SS. Peter & Paul School who sing at various Church and School events, as well as concerts throughout the year. The chorus usually meets Tuesday mornings for practice.
Students put their knowlege with Math to the test. A group/team assembles to demonstrate their abilities against other schools.
SSPP is proud to offer membership in The National Junior Honor Society, an esteemed organization principled around five pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. The NJHS not only recognizes students for accomplishments in these areas, but also encourages them to become more actively involved in their school and community.
